GeoPlex operates as a hub-and-network, linking campus capabilities with industry, government, and the St. Louis geospatial ecosystem to drive collaboration, innovation, and deployment. GeoPlex aligns with national priorities in advanced air mobility and is positioned to become a national node for AAM research, testing, and deployment. 

To advance geospatial engineering innovation through integrated research, education, and real-world deployment, delivering impactful solutions across a broad range of applications ranging from national security and defense to smart, connected, and resilient communities. 

The Geoplex will establish Missouri S&T as a state and national leader in geospatial engineering research, education, and real-world applications. By leveraging strengths in UAV/drone systems, AI, remote sensing, and advanced manufacturing, the Geoplex will position Missouri as a national leader in geospatial engineering applications including those dealing with:

  1. Drones and mobility
  2. Hazard intelligence
  3. National security and defense
  4. Ag and environmental systems, and (5) infrastructure and communities. 

We will become preferred partners for industry and government organizations and cultivate a robust workforce pipeline of geospatial talent equipped to solve the complex challenges shaping our future.
